Bamboo Train: is it touristy now?
Yes touristy but well-preserved · original train track was paved over · new tourist-track was built to maintain the experience. $5 30min ride is short but iconic · worth the visit. Phare Circus is more substantive cultural value.
When do the bats exit Phnom Sampeau?
5:30pm daily · arrive 5:00pm for good spot. Bring chair or rent ($1) · 45min spectacle as millions stream out. Combine with Killing Cave visit beforehand (5:00pm timing tight). Don't bring children scared of bats.
Battambang from Siem Reap: how?
